I have a brand new collection of original songs and tunes-The Old Southern Line, produced by Denis Close and featuring The Banksia Band – Kate Connor, Sophie Dunn on fiddles and violas, Sam Lemann on assorted guitars and mandolin ,Kain Borlaise on bass, Sharkey Ramos on drums and Denis Close on guitar and percussion .
We are debuting the new material at the world-famous Spotted Mallard on Sun 1st Dec from 6.30 -ish and looking forward to playing the songs .
I have always prized songwriting and making new music as a most important element of being a musician. Even though many people know me as a blues musician or a country swing player …or a Cajun fiddler, or a jazz guitarist ….yes I like it all ….my original repertoire holds a special place in my heart. I consider it to be the truest and deepest expression of my artistic interests. Love to see you there at the Mallard on 1st Dec
